Apple
During my time at Apple, I've supported pre-release product development across two contractor roles spanning AI/ML software and wearable hardware. My work centered on user research and study moderation: facilitating participant sessions, documenting behavioral observations, and synthesizing findings to inform product and model improvements. I also led data quality assurance efforts at scale and contributed to research operations through technical documentation, cross-team collaboration, and team onboarding. User Studies & Research
I moderated and facilitated hundreds of in-person and remote user research sessions for pre-release AI/ML features and prototypes, engaging both internal stakeholders and external participants. I also conducted participant research sessions with pre-release wearable prototypes in the field, observing and documenting participant behavior and device interaction in real time to support research integrity and data quality. I collaborated with engineering and design teams to communicate study logistics, surface usability pain points, and resolve roadblocks throughout testing phases. I authored and maintained detailed technical documentation covering study setup procedures, equipment configurations, and operational process standards to ensure consistency and replicability across sessions. Findings were synthesized into research documentation highlighting user patterns and opportunities for improvement. I also led onboarding and training for new team members across multiple concurrent projects.
Data QA & Collections
I performed QA on 100,000+ multilingual datasets and research assets across AI/ML product testing initiatives, improving throughput by 3x while maintaining accuracy and compliance with project and annotation guidelines. I also managed hardware setup, fitting, and operation for wearable prototype sessions, ensuring consistent study conditions across data collection sites.
